I worked at this tiny little family diner for almost 8 years before marrying my husband and becoming a housewife. Sometimes I feel so out of touch with LIFE anymore.

Anyway, I think you're doing the right thing by working a couple days a week and volunteering. It's important to do that for YOU.Jenni@Story of My Lifehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09396354837060085305noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2571481843444726418.post-40974325096135227732011-02-01T13:32:39.933-08:002011-02-01T13:32:39.933-08:00Oh man, I can only imagine how hard it must be. It sounds like you have already figured out what to do to make the mommy thing work for you. It can be tough. I worked all the while my kids where young so I never lost the "life blood" thing but I did sometimes wish I could have been home with them more. I guess the grass is never greener, huh? Keep up the great writing. You have a gift. I love your photos and the way you capture life around the city. Your Salvation Army and coffee shop ideas are perfect. We all need little breaks. Can't wait to hear stories of how you find a way to make some time for you.Amy Sullivanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03571083038560430815noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2571481843444726418.post-30229525768471487682011-01-28T17:47:56.570-08:002011-01-28T17:47:56.570-08:00I just popped over from your comment on my blog. ...I just popped over from your comment on my blog. Oh honey...I just want to reach through this computer and give you a big long sister-mommy hug. I so get you.

And then I want to strap in the front seat and let you drive me through your city and sit in your coffee shop and talk and talk and talk about motherhood and adoption and life.

You are a beautiful writer and and have an extraordinary gift of communication. And I love your two little children already. And I love your husband for understanding when you tell him you need to get out of the house. He's a keeper.

Wish we lived closer...

Blessings and hugs,
SandySandy @ The Scoop on Balancehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03382966038522662787noreply@blogger.com
