Blogging... REALLY?

I AM A NEWBIE...
So, as you can see... I am VERY new to the blogging WORLD. And it is a WORLD that I never knew existed. I first started to blog because I wanted my friends and family and acquaintances to know "our story". We aren't your typical family. Half black, half white. And I let "Mr. Facebook" know about it. And I was AMAZINGLY blown away with the response. I mean... blown away! Thank you for accepting and loving "our story"! Acceptance is like putting on a pair of REALLY great fitting sneakers. You walk lighter. So, since then, I wake up in the morning and think, "Gee... I got to keep up with this blog. But who REALLY cares what I think? Who REALLY cares about what I say?" Mrs. Insecurity always likes to visit.

About noon, Mrs. Bogus Humility brings me cookies. "Don't you think that this whole "bloggy" thing is a bit presumptuous? I mean... you are going to other people's blogs and saying.. toot toot... hey over here! I think you're cool. I'm cool!"  Yeah, she freaked me out.

And then, sometime around mid-afternoon Mrs. Stability and Mrs. Reality bring me tea. They say, "Yes, darling... you are saying: Hey, I've got something to say. But so do others. And the conversation is a beautiful one. It's like life. So relax and enjoy the reflection. Enjoy writing. Enjoy others. Enjoy yourself. And don't take yourself so seriously! GEEZE!" It was really yummy tea.

ANYWAYS... The Boston Faith and Justice Network asked me to write a "guest post". I had to go to the Blogger Dictionary and find out just what that meant. And... I think I'm up for it. I mean... I'm a bit nervous. But I'm gonna do it.

But what do I say? I surely don't want to be all, "I'm SOOOO great I just adopted two POOR LITTLE ORPHANS. I GET justice. I GET faith." Because what I have learned through all this is that faith is so much a mystery to me and I am a little Pee-On trying to find my place. AND... most of all... we didn't end up "saving" our boys... they saved us. So... that's what I'm going to write about. But I think I'm gonna have to ask the ladies over for tea.

  1. What a great opportunity! I can understand your momentary second guessing, but you have a gift. So far, I've just read a few of your posts and then the "Our Story" portion and I think you are totally guest post worthy! Best wishes to you as you try to figure out exactly how to convey your feelings!

  2. Hey Jenny! A friend lead me to your blog and I was so surprised to realize it was YOU! I write a blog and have been told that its egotistical to blog :P But guess what, life is beautiful and all of us experience it differently so who is to say who may or may not want to hear our stories. I think you and Aaron have such a wonderful story and I personally am so excited to get to read it and see it! Kudos to you. I hope you are all doing well, I have heard bits and pieces from your IL's and the boys sound amazing!

  5. So.... I'd just like to take a minute and say that I think you're "cool"... so whenever Mrs. Insecurity sneaks back up- just tell her to "hush because some stranger girl over at An Inexhaustible Love blog, I think her name is Hilary or something... well she thinks your story is awesome and it means a lot to her to read how it's going for someone who is now home with her babes when she is on the journey to get her sweet boy too!" Just wanted you to know. (o;
